H&B Joinery Side Gates are a well build, privacy enhancing upgrade to metal gates which you can see through. On our sidegates we offer many styles, the most popular is the ledge and brace, this can either be an arch to gain more privacy or just a straight top. The main advantage of a timber sidegate is the fact that it again stops passers by peering into your garden which helps privacy and also security. We make all our sidegates with 3/4″ thick matchboard with a 6 x 1 ledge and brace at the back. Only screws are used for all our timber products, we dont believe in using nails or stapels. Another popular side entry gate is the FLB (Frame Ledge and Brace), this is a slightly thicker gate which allows you to have a mortice lock.

For a standard 30 x 78 staright top sidegate, with new posts (if required), hardware (3 x tee hinges, ring gate latch and sliding pad bolt for a pad lock) and fitting, the price starts from £185.00. To have it either stained or painted by us an extra £45.00 would be added onto that price.
